eduKateSengkang Learning Atlas V2.0 | The Learner Runtime Map

Three students sit together at a wooden classroom table, looking through open workbooks and discussing their work.

eduKateSengkang Learning Atlas V2.0 is the operating map for Sengkang tuition, English, Mathematics, Science, Additional Mathematics, PSLE, Secondary school learning and examination preparation. It does not treat the site as a pile of articles. It maps a learner from the problem a parent can see to the learning state underneath it, the correct live owner, the repair route, the evidence that the repair held and the next place to go.

For a parent searching for Sengkang tuition, the useful question is rarely just “Which subject?” A child may know the topic but fail under time pressure, succeed only on familiar questions, forget after a week, freeze when the wording changes, or carry a weak prerequisite forward for years. Atlas V2.0 therefore routes by symptom → learner state → school stage → subject → intent → canonical owner → action → retest. Location is part of the route, but it never replaces diagnosis.

This Atlas maps Sengkang’s learner routes and their connections to the wider eduKate ecosystem; it does not replace the other properties’ owners or federation-wide publishing controls. eduKateSengkang owns the learner runtime and Sengkang coordinate. eduKateSingapore owns public knowledge, curriculum, evidence and library routes. Singapore English Tuition Centre owns deep English system work. Bukit Timah Tutor owns specialist Mathematics depth. eduKateYishun owns recovery, rebuilding and transformation when the current learning state no longer works. eduKateSG owns systems, research and broad discovery/routing. eduKatePunggol owns the Punggol family journey and local implementation. Orchard owns federation reception and routing; a published route is not evidence of an activated AI service. The Sengkang publishing register applies the current federation controls to this estate. The rule is simple: one owner per intent, deliberate handoffs, and a return path so the reader always knows what to do next.

Start here: six doors into the Atlas

A good Atlas lets readers enter from the language they already have. They do not need to know eduKate’s vocabulary before they can use it. “Careless mistakes”, “cannot finish”, “understands in tuition but fails tests”, “weak comprehension”, “marks dropped in Primary 5”, “not sure whether to continue tuition” and “needs something near Sengkang” are all valid entrances. The Atlas translates those surface descriptions into a testable learning route.

The runtime underneath the site

The Sengkang site uses a five-state working model for a particular capability under particular conditions, not labels for children. Begin with what happened and the learner’s account; a score or a parent’s description is not enough to settle the explanation. A learner can be examination-ready in one skill and blocked in another. Any state assignment is a revisable teaching hypothesis, not a clinical diagnosis, an automatic classification or a judgement of the person. Use it only to choose the next proportionate condition to investigate. When testing independence, reduce instructional hints where appropriate while retaining agreed accessibility arrangements and necessary support; independence does not mean withdrawing access.

StateWhat it meansRuntime jobExit evidence
BlockedCannot reliably start, select a method or interpret the task.Find the first weak link and reduce the problem to a recoverable next action. The learner can begin with an appropriate first move without rescue.
FragileCan succeed today but the capability does not reliably reappear.Stabilise through retrieval, spacing, correction and repeated evidence. The capability reappears after delay and without identical cues.
StableReliable on familiar work but conditions still control success.Vary representation, wording, sequence and context.Success survives ordinary variation.
Transfer-readyCan adapt the capability to unfamiliar but related work.Increase novelty, integration and decision load. The learner identifies what transfers and what must change.
Examination-readyCapability survives time pressure, sequencing, fatigue and paper-level interference.Protect execution, checking, recovery and mark capture.Performance holds across full-paper conditions.

Every serious route should therefore end with evidence. “We covered the chapter” is not enough. The question is whether the capability reappears after delay, under changed wording, inside mixed work and finally under the interference of a real paper.

The Capability Graph | What the Learner Can Actually Do

The five learner states describe how reliably a capability currently survives. The capability graph describes what kind of performance is being built. Subjects supply the knowledge; the runtime asks whether the learner can use that knowledge through the capabilities below.

CapabilityQuestionEvidence that it is becoming reliable
OrientationCan the learner identify what the task is asking and what matters first? The learner can state the goal, conditions and required output before starting.
RepresentationCan the learner turn the problem into a usable form?Words, diagrams, symbols, examples, models or notes preserve the important relationships.
Meaning recoveryCan the learner understand language, notation, evidence and context accurately? The learner can paraphrase, define, distinguish and explain without distorting meaning.
RetrievalCan needed knowledge be brought back without the original prompt or model?Knowledge reappears after delay and without visible cues.
ReasoningCan the learner connect evidence, rules, relationships and consequences? The learner can explain why a conclusion follows and identify when it does not.
Strategy selectionCan the learner choose an appropriate route instead of applying the first familiar method?Method choice changes appropriately when the structure of the task changes.
ExecutionCan the learner carry the chosen route accurately and efficiently?Steps, language, calculations or actions remain controlled under ordinary workload.
CommunicationCan the learner make the result understandable to another person? The answer is complete, precise, appropriately structured and matched to audience/purpose.
VerificationCan the learner detect when an answer, claim or route should not be trusted yet?The learner checks conditions, evidence, units, logic, counterexamples, plausibility or source quality.
TransferCan the capability survive a new surface, context, wording or combination?Performance holds on unseen or altered tasks rather than only on rehearsed examples.
Self-monitoringCan the learner notice uncertainty, error, overload and missing evidence while working? The learner changes pace, checks, seeks a hint or switches route for a defensible reason.
IndependenceCan the learner initiate, complete, check and explain the work with support removed?Capability remains available when tutor, answer key, AI tool or familiar scaffold is absent.

These capabilities are not a replacement curriculum and they are not personality labels. A learner may be strong in representation in Mathematics and weak in representation in English, or transfer-ready in one topic and blocked in another. The graph is used to locate the next useful teaching move and the evidence needed before support is reduced.

The live estate map

The old Atlas was dominated by what had not yet been built. V2.0 begins with what is already alive. These are current owners and major routers that future articles must respect before a new URL is created.

Subject worlds

English

English routes through comprehension, vocabulary in use, grammar, writing, oral communication, listening, editing, summary, argument and examination execution. Use the English Learning Hub as the Sengkang subject-world entrance. The Sengkang job is to diagnose how the capability behaves in the learner and under paper conditions. Broad language-system depth can hand off to Singapore English Tuition Centre or eduKateSingapore, then return here for the learner’s state and next action.

Mathematics

Mathematics routes through prerequisite structure, representation, number sense, algebra, geometry, data, modelling, problem solving, verification and transfer. Use the Mathematics Learning Hub as the Sengkang subject-world entrance. Sengkang should not create another explanation merely because a topic exists. It should answer what failed first, how we can tell, what repair is needed, and whether the repair survives a different problem.

Science

Primary Science routes through concept understanding, relationships, systems, evidence, variables, explanation and question interpretation. Use the Science Learning Hub as the Sengkang subject-world entrance. Mechanism depth belongs with the canonical knowledge owner when appropriate; Sengkang owns the learner-facing route from observed error to better evidence and PSLE performance.

Additional Mathematics

A-Math is a dependency-sensitive subject. Weak algebra, functions, trigonometry or symbolic control can make later work look harder than the true first weak link. The Sengkang Atlas therefore routes A-Math by dependency and execution, with specialist mathematical depth available through the wider ecosystem.

The learner journey: from first signal to independent control

  1. Observe the signal. Start with what actually happened: an error, delay, avoidance, score pattern, incomplete paper or inconsistent performance.
  2. Classify the state. Decide whether the capability is blocked, fragile, stable, transfer-ready or examination-ready.
  3. Find the first weak link. Do not repair the final visible mistake if an earlier prerequisite caused it.
  4. Choose the smallest useful intervention. Explanation, worked example, retrieval, deliberate practice, representation change, mixed practice, timed practice or paper-level work are different tools.
  5. Retest under changed conditions. A repair is not complete simply because the next identical question is correct.
  6. Record what held. Evidence should change the route. If the capability holds, increase difficulty or variability. If it does not, reclassify.
  7. Return control to the learner. The long-term target is independent noticing, choosing, checking, recovering and continuing.

Parent runtime: the questions behind tuition

Parents often arrive with a service question—whether to start tuition, whether the current tuition is working, whether to add another subject, whether a child needs a private tutor or small group, whether marks are falling because the work is harder, and when tuition should stop. Atlas V2.0 converts those questions into evidence questions.

  • What can the learner do independently now that they could not do before?
  • Does the improvement survive a delay, a new question and a full paper?
  • Are repeated errors decreasing, or are lessons merely becoming more familiar?
  • Can the learner explain why a method applies instead of recognising a worksheet pattern?
  • Is tuition reducing dependency over time, or making the learner more dependent on prompts?
  • Is the bottleneck knowledge, execution, confidence, time control, reading of the question, weak prerequisites or something outside tuition’s proper scope?

Examination Craft: when learning has to perform

Examinations create a different environment from lessons. Time is finite. Questions are mixed. Earlier items affect later attention. A learner has to decide what a question is asking, retrieve the right method, execute it, preserve evidence, check selectively and recover after a bad item. Examination Craft therefore remains a separate first-class estate rather than an appendix to subject teaching.

SEC transition rule for this Atlas: from the 2027 graduating cohort, Singapore-Cambridge GCE N(T), N(A) and O-Level examinations are combined and renamed as the Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC). Subjects are taken at G1, G2 or G3 as applicable; not every subject exists at every level. Atlas V2.0 therefore uses SEC-first naming for 2027+ and keeps older GCE labels only where a historical reference is genuinely required. See the official SEAB SEC overview and 2027 SEC syllabus lists.

Atlas V2.0 treats PSLE and SEC preparation as a progression from capability to paper performance. Facts about formats, dates and rules should be owned by the appropriate canonical knowledge pages; Sengkang owns preparation behaviour, paper execution, recovery and the evidence that the learning survives examination conditions.

Sengkang as a coordinate, not a content silo

Sengkang matters because learning happens in a real week: school dismissal times, transport, family routines, Compassvale, Rivervale, Anchorvale, Fernvale, Buangkok, Compass One and the surrounding schools. Local pages are useful when locality changes a parent’s decision or a learner’s routine. They are not an excuse to clone generic tuition pages with another place name.

Every Sengkang locality page should therefore answer a local question and then route back to the learning problem. A school or neighbourhood page must use public information, avoid claims about internal teaching or papers, and distinguish factual local context from eduKate’s own learning guidance.

Putting a learning plan into daily life: once the learning need is clearer, use the Singapore planning-area learning and tuition guide for geographic context, or the neighbourhood and local-learning directory for a more specific place question. Return to this Learning Atlas for practice, transfer and evidence of progress. An address can affect the weekly routine; it does not diagnose the learner’s difficulty.

Federation return: Sengkang owns the learner-runtime and implementation-evidence route. When the reader’s next job becomes public reference, another specialist domain, local town knowledge or wider ecosystem discovery, return to Project Atlas; use the eduKateSG Ecosystem Atlas for federation boundaries and governance.

Atlas law: one owner, many useful routes

  • One canonical owner per intent. If a page already owns the job, strengthen and route to it instead of publishing a near-duplicate.
  • Add-only does not mean duplicate-only. New pages require a distinct reader job, state, stage, locality or performance problem.
  • Handoffs must be explicit. A specialist page may explain the knowledge; the Sengkang route should tell the reader why they are being sent there and where to return.
  • Every route needs a next action. No dead-end encyclopedia pages.
  • Every intervention needs a retest. “Done” means evidence changed, not that content was covered.
  • Locality must earn its page. Sengkang relevance should change the decision, route or context.
  • Time-sensitive claims have a refresh clock. Examination cycles, school facts and local information are maintained rather than treated as timeless.
  • No quiet cannibalisation. Before publishing any planned node, search the live estate and the wider eduKate ecosystem.

Status language for Atlas V2.0

StatusMeaning
CANONICAL LIVEThe preferred owner already exists. Strengthen and link to it; do not create a competing page.
ROUTER LIVEA navigation or state-routing owner exists. Improve the route rather than duplicating the destination.
SUPPORTING LIVEUseful supporting content exists but is not the canonical owner.
BUILD AFTER OWNER CHECKA planned node may be needed, but search the live estate before publishing.
COLLISION REVIEWCurrent content appears close enough that merging, retitling or routing may be better than a new URL.
SPECIALIST HANDOFFThe answer belongs primarily to another eduKate property; Sengkang owns the local/runtime bridge.
REFRESHThe owner is correct but needs current data, examination cycle, links or framing.
LEGACY / ARCHIVERetained for history or link continuity; not a new canonical owner.
HOLDDo not build until ownership, evidence or strategic need is clear.

Production protocol

  1. Search the exact reader intent across eduKateSengkang.
  2. Search adjacent live owners: state router, subject hub, Parents’ Guide, Examination Craft, locality and current longforms.
  3. Check the wider eduKate ecosystem for the canonical knowledge owner.
  4. Classify the planned node: canonical, router, supporting, build, collision review, specialist handoff, refresh, legacy or hold.
  5. If a future BUILD survives the owner check, write the page around the learner’s job—not merely the keyword.
  6. Link upward to its hub, sideways to two or three sibling routes, and outward only when another property genuinely owns the next depth.
  7. End with evidence, retest and the next route.
  8. Update this Atlas status when the node changes state.

Atlas register: owner assignments recorded for the original 101 nodes

The original 101-node ledger has recorded owner dispositions: 96 canonical-owner assignments and five specialist handoffs. No row in that historic set remains marked BUILD AFTER OWNER CHECK, COLLISION REVIEW or HOLD. This describes the production register, not a fresh audit of every article body, public response or complete reader journey. The dated completion notes below preserve earlier branch reports; they are not automatically recertified by this Atlas update. Use the current Sengkang publishing register to distinguish an assigned owner, a saved publication, a publicly verified page and a route verified from entrance through specialist handoff and back to the learner’s next action. None of those statuses, by itself, establishes an educational outcome.

StateCountWhat happens now
CANONICAL LIVE96Maintain the owner, strengthen routes, refresh time-sensitive facts and watch evidence.
SPECIALIST HANDOFF5Keep the specialist owner authoritative and maintain an explicit return path into the Sengkang learner runtime.
Unresolved build / collision / hold0No new URL is required unless a genuinely new reader job appears.

The Atlas therefore moves from production mode into maintenance mode: refresh current examination and school facts, harden internal routes, repair broken or duplicated pathways, deepen weak owners when evidence justifies it, and keep the one-owner-many-routes law intact.

Atlas extension registry | Locality closure after the original 101

The original 101-node ledger remains complete and unchanged as the historic production set. Atlas V2.0 can still grow when a genuine reader job is discovered after hardening. Extensions use the next node numbers, preserve the same collision-first ownership law, and are added only when the existing graph has a real gap.

The original 101-node production ledger, upgraded

The original 101 ideas remain useful. V2.0 preserves every title, focus keyword and production wave, but none of them is now assumed to require a new URL. Each is governed by owner checking first. This is the difference between an article list and an Atlas.

  • Homepage SEO/read-only audit completed 27 September 2026: WordPress reading settings confirm show_on_front = posts with no static page_on_front; the site-level tagline is learner-runtime aligned, while the public homepage title and opening copy remain tuition-first. Atlas records the mismatch for governance only. Homepage, menu, theme, layout and design remain frozen and unchanged.
  • Legacy Punggol handoff completed 26 September 2026: 39 Punggol-titled pages on the Sengkang domain keep their existing URLs for history, while current Punggol discovery routes to the eduKatePunggol Atlas and learner-state diagnosis returns to Sengkang Atlas V2.0.
  • Sengkang school-locality consolidation completed 26 September 2026: the stronger Primary Schools in Sengkang guide is the live discovery owner, the thinner duplicate is preserved as a noindex handoff, and both Primary and Secondary school routers are exposed from the Parents’ Guide and What about Sengkang.
  • Science handoff completed 26 September 2026: the Science Hub and P3–P6 Science hubs now route canonical reference depth to the eduKateSingapore Science Learning Library while Sengkang retains diagnosis, application, transfer and examination use.
  • Learner-state entry standard completed 26 September 2026 across the full 27-page symptom-first parent library: everyday problems now route visibly through Blocked, Fragile, Stable, Transfer-Ready and Examination-Ready before subject-specific repair. New symptom pages should reuse this five-state gateway.
  • Five-state navigation completed 26 September 2026: Start Here now exposes all five learner-state owners near the top, including Examination-Ready, and each state page has sibling navigation across the full progression plus return paths to Start Here and Atlas V2.0.
  • Start Here symptom directory completed 26 September 2026: all 27 symptom-first parent pages are now visibly indexed beneath the five-state router, grouped by the language parents actually use rather than by internal taxonomy.
  • Run collision review before future Atlas nodes are published. Nodes 92–101 were checked against the live estate and resolved on 26 September 2026; a matching owner still changes any future action from BUILD to ROUTE, REFRESH or MERGE.
  • Specialist handoff return paths completed 26 September 2026: BTT Mathematics pacing, A-Math simulation and checking owners, plus Yishun bad-result and failure-recovery owners, now return explicitly to Sengkang learner-state, Examination Craft and parent routes.
  • Hub-level federation completed 26 September 2026: Examination Craft now exposes BTT Mathematics pacing, A-Math simulation and checking specialists plus Yishun bad-result recovery; the Parents’ Guide exposes Yishun failure-recovery routes.
  • Symptom technical-dispatch standard completed 26 September 2026: all 27 symptom-first parent pages now end with an explicit technical-owner route into English, Mathematics, Science, Examination Craft, Learning Runtime, Tutor System, parent decision or specialist depth as appropriate.
  • Learner-state reverse routing completed 26 September 2026: Blocked, Fragile, Stable, Transfer-Ready and Examination-Ready pages now link back to representative real-world symptoms, making symptom ↔ state traversal bidirectional.
  • Technical-hub reverse routing completed 26 September 2026: English, Mathematics, Science, Examination Craft, Learning Runtime and Tutor System now expose the parent-language symptoms they own.
  • Start Here entry hardening completed 26 September 2026: metadata and first three paragraphs now describe the 27-symptom/five-state diagnostic job, and the page includes a symptom-to-owner technical crosswalk.
  • Atlas navigation hardening completed 26 September 2026: the six-door entrance table and live estate map are now clickable representations of the current federated system rather than descriptive labels.
  • Deep-connect pass completed 26 September 2026: the Six Friends stories now have reciprocal discovery from the Learning Runtime Hub, Parents’ Guide, PSLE Learning Guide, Primary 5 Mathematics Hub, Secondary Mathematics Capability Map and Additional Mathematics Learning Hub.
  • Symptom–story reciprocal pass completed 26 September 2026: six high-value parent symptoms now link directly to their worked Six Friends cases, and each story links back to its parent-facing diagnostic entrance.

What Atlas V2.0 is measuring

Coverage is not the number of pages. A mature estate is one in which a parent can arrive with a real problem, find the right owner quickly, understand what is happening, take a useful next action, and return with better evidence. The Atlas should make missing routes visible, but it should also make unnecessary pages harder to create.

The long-term test is simple: can the site move a learner from confusion to diagnosis, from diagnosis to repair, from repair to stable capability, from stable capability to transfer, and from transfer to independent performance—without losing the parent or learner inside the size of the estate? If yes, the Atlas is doing its job.

Atlas V2.0 control line: symptom → learner state → stage → subject → intent → canonical owner → action → evidence → retest → next route → return. Last updated: 27 September 2026.

Tutor System route

When the learner map leads to human tutoring support, continue through The Tutor System. It is the parent–student–tutor connector between learning diagnosis, tutor classification, The Tutor Handbook, subject teaching and eventual independent performance.

Student–tutor route

When the Atlas route reaches human tutoring, students can enter through How to Work With a Tutor. It connects the learner runtime to help-seeking, feedback, practice, tutor fit, examination use, support fading and eventual independence.

Tutor System canonical ownership

The tutoring estate now has four distinct canonical owners. Keep their responsibilities separate and route local or subject-specific pages into them rather than creating competing generic guides.

Subject knowledge remains with the specialist owners: SETC for English, Bukit Timah Tutor for Mathematics, Science owners for Science, and the relevant examination and learning-runtime estates. The Tutor System owns the human support relationship, not the subject itself.

G3 SEC learner route: use the complete G3 SEC EMS Learner’s Guide hub when the learner-state diagnosis needs to become a subject or examination-preparation plan. The hub connects English, Mathematics, Science, PSLE-to-secondary transition, examination-year control and the full Vol 0001–0069 directory.
