Primary 6 Mathematics Learning Hub
Primary 6 Mathematics is an integration year. Fractions, ratio, percentage, algebra, geometry, measurement, data and multi-step problem solving must work together under PSLE conditions. This hub organises the learning by capability so that students can identify the first weak link, choose a representation, compute accurately, check their work and transfer the method to unfamiliar questions.

2026 Curriculum Frame
Singapore’s current Primary Mathematics syllabus organises learning across Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry, and Statistics, with mathematical problem solving at the centre. The 2021 syllabus applies to Primary 6 from 2026 onwards.

First-Weak-Link Diagnostic

- Can the learner represent the relationship with a model, diagram, table or equation?
- Can the learner identify the part, whole, ratio, rate, dimension or unknown?

Primary 6 Capability Spine
Strong Primary 6 Mathematics depends on quantity sense, part-whole reasoning, proportional reasoning, representation, algebraic thinking, spatial reasoning, data reasoning and execution control. A mark is an output; diagnosis requires finding which of these capabilities failed first.
Error Analysis
Wrong answers should be classified before more practice is assigned. Common classes include reading error, representation error, relationship error, method-selection error, calculation error, unit error, transcription error and checking failure. Repair the earliest cause, then test it again with a changed context.
PSLE Readiness
Topic completion is only one layer. Examination readiness also requires retrieval, pacing, method selection, audit trails, unit control and recovery. Timed work should be introduced after the method is secure enough to survive variation.
