B1 Conversation and Connected Thinking | B1 对话与连贯思考
Do not only speak longer. Make each idea connect to the previous one and prepare the next one.
不要只是“说得更久”。让每一个意思都接住前一个,并为下一个意思铺路。
B1-direction conversation is not a long list of sentences. It is connected thinking: point, reason, example, response, qualification, comparison, repair and return.
这一课训练的是“连贯思考能力”:表达观点、解释、回应别人、限定自己的说法、举例、比较、不同意、澄清,再把话题拉回主线。

English often uses softening before disagreement. Learn these as interaction tools rather than personality rules.

Use clear signposts so listeners can follow your logic even if grammar is not perfect.
48. Reading dialogue A | 对话阅读 A
A: I think working from home is better because it saves travel time.
B: That’s true, but I don’t think it’s better for everyone. Some people concentrate better in an office.

B: Yes, I think that’s a good balance.
Identify: opinion, agreement, counterpoint, qualification, conclusion.
49. Reading dialogue B | 对话阅读 B
A: Which transport option would you choose?
B: It depends. If I had an early meeting, I’d take the train because it’s more reliable. However, for a quiet weekend trip, I’d probably take the bus because it’s cheaper.
