How to Learn Basic English (Chinese Edition) | Lesson No.060 | B1 Review and Real-World Performance | B1 复习与真实表现

Series ID: EDKS-BASIC-ZH-0060 · Lesson No.060 · B1 Consolidation and Real-World Performance

B1 Review and Real-World Performance | B1 复习与真实表现

B1 is not a collection of grammar points. It is the ability to keep meaning working across longer, less predictable tasks.
B1 不是“学过很多语法点”,而是在更长、更不确定的任务中,仍然能让英语保持运转。

This lesson consolidates the full Chinese Edition progression from basic survival English through A1, A2 and B1-direction control. It is a performance checkpoint, not a certificate.

这一课不是“学完就自动达到 B1”。真正的判断来自听、说、读、写、修复、推理、语体和真实任务表现。

56. Reading practice: performance mindset | 阅读

Anna used to measure progress by counting lessons and vocabulary words. After several months, she noticed that this did not always predict real communication. She could recognise many grammar rules but still became slow when a conversation changed direction. She began measuring different things: how long she could speak without a script, how much she understood before opening a transcript, how accurately she could summarise an article, and whether she could repair misunderstandings. Her study became less about collecting material and more about making the language work.

  1. What did Anna measure before?
  2. Why was that insufficient?
  3. What new metrics did she use?
  4. What changed in her learning approach?

57. Writing practice: B1 performance audit | 写作

  • next four-week plan

Speak for 4 minutes without a full script:

  • what you can do
  • what still breaks
  • what evidence you have
  • what you will do next
