Quick read | 先看最重要的

You are a beginner. Your time is limited. So every new word should earn its place.

你是初学者。时间有限。所以每一个新词都应该有学习价值。

A useful first word does at least one of these jobs:

  • It appears often.
  • It helps you ask for something.
  • It helps you answer.
  • It names a person, place or thing in your daily life.
  • It helps you describe something.
  • It joins other words into a sentence.
  • It helps you understand many common phrases.

最值得先学的词通常具有一个或多个特点:常见、能提问、能回答、能表达日常生活、能描述、能连接句子、能和很多词组合。

Useful is more important than impressive | 有用比“高级感”重要

Imagine two words:

  • water
  • meticulous

Meticulous is a good English word. But a true beginner will probably use water much earlier and much more often.

meticulous 是一个好词,但真正零基础学习者更早、更常需要 water。

This lesson is not saying difficult words are bad. It is saying order matters.

这不是说难词不好,而是说学习顺序很重要。

Why high-use words come first | 为什么先学高使用率词汇?

English contains a very large number of words. You cannot learn all of them first. A beginner needs a small core that gives access to many situations.

英语词很多,不可能先全部学完。初学者需要先建立一个小核心,让少量词可以进入很多场景。

The Oxford 3000 gives priority to important words using frequency and learner relevance. British Council A1–A2 vocabulary is organised around useful everyday topics. Cambridge Pre A1 resources also focus on familiar words and situations.

这些体系的共同点不是“背越难越好”,而是先让学习者掌握高价值、容易遇到、能马上使用的语言。

The five filters for a first word | 一个新词值不值得先学?看五个标准

  1. Frequency 频率: Will I meet it often?
  2. Need 需要: Do I need it in my real life?
  3. Power 组合能力: Can it combine with many words?
  4. Clarity 清晰度: Can I understand it with a simple example?
  5. Reuse 复用: Can I use it many times this week?

如果一个词五项里有三四项都很强,它通常值得进入你的第一批词汇。

Start with people words | 先学“人”的词

II am here.
you你 / 你们You are here.
heHe is my friend.
sheShe is my teacher.
we我们We are ready.
they他们 / 她们 / 它们They are here.
friend朋友my friend
family家人 / 家庭my family
mother妈妈 / 母亲my mother
father爸爸 / 父亲my father
teacher老师my teacher
student学生a student

这些词很早就能帮助你介绍自己、别人和关系。

Start with social words | 先学社交生存词

hello你好Hello.
hi嗨 / 你好Hi!
pleasePlease help me.
thanks谢谢Thanks.
thank you谢谢你Thank you.
sorry对不起Sorry.
yes是 / 对Yes, please.
no不 / 不是No, thanks.
okay好的 / 可以Okay.
goodbye再见Goodbye.

这些词看起来简单,却能让真实交流马上开始。

Question words are high-power words | 疑问词是高能力词

Word中文First question
what什么What is this?
where哪里Where is it?
whoWho is she?
when什么时候When?
why为什么Why?
how怎样 / 如何How are you?
which哪一个Which one?
how much多少钱 / 多少How much?
how many多少个How many?

疑问词的价值很高,因为它们不是只表达一个物品,而是帮助你主动获得信息。

Core verbs give you movement | 核心动词让英语动起来

A beginner with many nouns but no verbs can name things but cannot do much with them.

只有很多名词、没有动词,就像桌上放了一堆零件,却没有发动机。

Verb中文First phraseFirst sentence
be是 / 处于be hereI am here.
havehave timeI have time.
dodo thisI can do this.
gogo homeI go home.
comecome hereCome here.
get得到 / 变得get tiredI get tired.
make做 / 制作make teaI make tea.
take拿 / 带 / 乘take the busI take the bus.
givegive meGive me the book.
see看见see youI see it.
looklook atLook at this.
hear听见hear youI can hear you.
saysay helloSay hello.
tell告诉tell meTell me.
askask meAsk me.
know知道know thisI know.
think想 / 认为think aboutI think so.
like喜欢like teaI like tea.
want想要want waterI want water.
need需要need helpI need help.
help帮助help mePlease help me.
eateat riceI eat rice.
drinkdrink waterI drink water.
readread a bookI read a book.
writewrite my nameI write my name.

Do not learn a verb without a phrase | 动词不要单独学

“go = 去” is useful. “go home” is more useful. “I want to go home” is more usable.

所以,动词学习可以走三步:

  1. Word: go
  2. Phrase: go home
  3. Sentence: I want to go home.

你不是一次就把所有语法学完,而是让词开始进入真实结构。

Core nouns: things you really meet | 核心名词:先学你真的会遇到的东西

book 书phone 手机bag 包key 钥匙
money 钱water 水food 食物tea 茶
rice 米饭bread 面包milk 牛奶egg 鸡蛋
home 家room 房间door 门window 窗
table 桌子chair 椅子bed 床light 灯 / 光
school 学校work 工作shop 商店road 路
bus 公交车train 火车 / 地铁station 车站toilet 洗手间
name 名字time 时间day 天week 星期 / 周

这些词之所以适合早学,是因为你可以不断在身边找到使用机会。

Core adjectives: describe the world | 核心形容词:开始描述

good 好bad 不好big 大small 小
new 新old 旧 / 老hot 热cold 冷
fast 快slow 慢easy 容易hard 难
happy 开心sad 难过tired 累busy 忙
hungry 饿thirsty 渴open 开着的closed 关着的

形容词最好尽快进入短句:

  • big bag
  • small room
  • hot water
  • cold water
  • new phone
  • old book
  • I am tired.
  • I am hungry.

Time words have very high daily value | 时间词日常价值很高

now 现在today 今天tomorrow 明天yesterday 昨天
morning 早上afternoon 下午evening 晚上night 夜晚
day 天week 周month 月year 年
early 早late 晚 / 迟before 之前after 之后

这些词能帮助你把简单动作放进时间里:

  • Go now.
  • See you tomorrow.
  • I work today.
  • I am busy this morning.
  • I go home at night.

Place words are survival vocabulary | 地点词是生存词汇

here 这里there 那里home 家school 学校
work 工作地点shop 商店station 车站toilet 洗手间
inside 里面outside 外面left 左right 右
near 附近far 远up 上down 下

马上可以组成:

  • Come here.
  • It is there.
  • Go left.
  • Turn right.
  • Where is the station?
  • Where is the toilet?

Small grammar words are not optional | 小语法词不能忽略

Beginners often love concrete nouns because they are easy to picture. But real sentences depend on small words too.

a / an一个a book, an apple
the这个/那个已明确的the book
my我的my phone
your你的your bag
in在里面in the room
on在上面on the table
at在 / 于at home
to到 / 向go to school
from来自 / 从from China
and和 / 并且tea and water
but但是small but good
because因为because I am tired

不要因为这些词短就觉得它们不重要。很多高频英语正是靠这些小词连接。

Your first 20 survival phrases | 第一批 20 个生存短语

  1. Hello.
  2. Thank you.
  3. Yes, please.
  4. No, thanks.
  5. I am sorry.
  6. My name is ___.
  7. I am from ___.
  8. I do not know.
  9. I do not understand.
  10. Please say it again.
  11. Please help me.
  12. I need help.
  13. I need water.
  14. I want this.
  15. I like this.
  16. What is this?
  17. Where is it?
  18. How much?
  19. Come here.
  20. See you tomorrow.

这些不是为了让你背成“对话表演”。它们是用来给核心词建立真实工作岗位。

The 30-word sentence machine | 30 个词也能开始造很多句子

Use this tiny bank:

I · you · this · that · my · your · book · phone · bag · water · tea · food · home · school · good · bad · big · small · hot · cold · have · like · want · need · go · come · see · help · where · what

Now combine:

  • This is my book.
  • That is your bag.
  • I have a phone.
  • I like tea.
  • I want water.
  • I need food.
  • I go home.
  • I go to school.
  • Come here.
  • See this.
  • Please help me.
  • Where is my phone?
  • What is this?
  • This is good.
  • The water is hot.
  • My bag is small.

你会发现:词汇学习的力量不只是“词的数量”,更是“组合能力”。

Do not start with alphabetic order | 不要按 A 到 Z 当主路线

Alphabetic lists are useful for finding words. They are not always a good learning order.

如果你今天学 apple、airport、angry、April、arm、artist,只因为它们都在 A 开头,这些词之间的意义连接可能很弱。

A beginner usually benefits more from a meaningful cluster:

  • water, tea, milk, drink, cup
  • home, room, door, table, chair
  • go, come, stop, wait, walk
  • mother, father, sister, brother, family

主题给单词增加上下文。之后再混合测试,避免只记住词表位置。

Do not start with synonyms | 零基础先不要一次学很多近义词

A beginner does not need five ways to say “very good” on Day 1.

先把 good 学稳定。以后再扩展 nice, great, excellent, wonderful 等不同用法。

Too many near-synonyms too early can make the meaning boundary fuzzy.

太早同时塞进很多近义词,会让每一个词的边界都不清楚。

One meaning first | 一个词先稳住一个核心义

The word get has many uses. A beginner does not need all of them at once.

  • get a book — 得到/拿到一本书
  • get tired — 变累
  • get home — 到家

先学你当前遇到的用法。以后再扩展。不要因为词典里有很多义项,就把全部义项一次背完。

Personal usefulness matters | “对你有用”也很重要

Frequency lists are useful. But your life changes priority.

A cook may need knife, pan, oil, salt early. A student may need class, teacher, homework, question. A traveller may need ticket, station, hotel, passport.

所以你的第一词汇表可以有两层:

  1. Common core 通用核心 — 大多数人都常用。
  2. Personal core 个人核心 — 你的生活特别需要。

Make your personal 20 | 建立你的“个人 20 词”

Walk through one normal day. Write the English words you keep needing.

  • What do you see after waking up?
  • What do you eat?
  • How do you travel?
  • Where do you work or study?
  • Who do you talk to?
  • What do you often ask for?
  • What problems do you often need to explain?

选 20 个最贴近你生活的词。不要只抄网上“1000 词大全”。

Usefulness changes with your goal | 目标不同,优先词也不同

GoalEarly vocabulary
Travelticket, station, hotel, room, help, left, right, how much
Schoolbook, class, teacher, answer, question, read, write, understand
Worktime, meeting, call, email, today, tomorrow, help, finish
Daily lifefood, water, home, family, shop, bus, money, need
Conversationthink, like, want, know, why, because, really, maybe

词汇学习不是一条完全相同的路。共同核心之后,要根据真实任务分支。

The beginner frequency trap | 高频也不能只看“出现次数”

Some very frequent words are grammatically complex. A word may appear often but have many meanings and patterns.

例如 get 很常用,却有很多用法。初学者可以早接触,但不需要一次掌握全部。

所以“高频”只是一个标准。还要看:是否容易理解、是否马上需要、是否能稳定使用。

Recognition is not ownership | 眼熟不等于会

You look at station and think, “I know this.” Good. Now close the page.

  • Can you say the Chinese meaning?
  • Can you hear the word?
  • Can you spell it?
  • Can you say “bus station”?
  • Can you ask “Where is the station?”

如果只在看到 station 时认识,它还主要属于“识别”。如果不看答案也能提取并使用,它才开始进入主动词汇。

Use a three-column card | 用三栏卡片

WordUseful phraseMy sentence
water 水drink waterI need water.
home 家go homeI want to go home.
help 帮助need helpI need help.
book 书my bookThis is my book.
good 好very goodThis is very good.

不要让卡片只有“英文正面、中文背面”。至少加一个短语,让单词一开始就有工作环境。

The one-change method | 一次只换一个词

Start with:

I want water.

Change one thing:

  • I want tea.
  • I want food.
  • I want this.
  • I need water.
  • You want water.

一次只改变一个位置,可以让初学者看见“哪些部分保持,哪些部分变化”。这会降低认知负担。

Build little families of phrases | 建立小型短语家族

Core wordPhrase family
gogo home · go to school · go to work · go now
havehave time · have food · have a question · have a book
needneed help · need water · need time · need money
goodgood food · good book · good idea · very good
mymy name · my phone · my bag · my family

你不是在学 20 个完全分离的短语,而是在看一个核心词怎样向外长。

First practice set: point and say | 练习一:指着说

Look around the room. Point to five things. Say the English word.

在房间里找 5 个东西,指着说英文。

  • door
  • table
  • chair
  • phone
  • book

Then add this:

  • This is a door.
  • This is a table.
  • This is my phone.

Second practice set: act and say | 练习二:做动作再说

  • stand
  • sit
  • open
  • close
  • go
  • come
  • look
  • write

动作词尽量让身体参与。动作本身就是语境。

Third practice set: choose | 练习三:二选一

  • hot or cold?
  • big or small?
  • new or old?
  • good or bad?
  • here or there?
  • yes or no?

二选一能让初学者快速建立意义边界。

Fourth practice set: ask | 练习四:问问题

  • What is this?
  • Where is my phone?
  • Who is she?
  • How much?
  • When?
  • Why?

你不需要一开始就把每一个问句的语法理论讲完。先理解功能,先能使用,再慢慢扩展准确度。

Fifth practice set: real need | 练习五:真实需要

Say five true sentences about today:

  • I need ___.
  • I want ___.
  • I like ___.
  • I have ___.
  • I go to ___.

真正和今天有关的句子,比随机例句更容易产生意义。

Sixth practice set: memory | 练习六:关掉答案

Study these ten words for three minutes:

water · home · help · book · phone · go · want · need · good · where

Close the page. Write as many as you can. Then check.

不要只数“对了几个”。看看错误发生在哪里:意思忘了?拼写忘了?还是完全提取不出来?

Seventh practice set: phrase recall | 练习七:短语提取

Complete without looking:

  • drink ___
  • go ___
  • need ___
  • my ___
  • very ___
  • look ___ this
  • come ___

答案可能不止一个。重点是主动从记忆里找可用组合。

Eighth practice set: change the surface | 练习八:换表面,不换结构

Base sentence: This is my book.

  • This is my phone.
  • This is my bag.
  • This is your book.
  • That is my book.

同一个结构换少量词,可以建立迁移能力。

Ninth practice set: hear and point | 练习九:听到就找

Ask a teacher, friend or audio tool to say one word. Point to the object or picture.

如果你“看得懂”但“听不出”,问题不在中文意思,而在声音连接。

Tenth practice set: one-minute speaking | 练习十:一分钟输出

Use only very simple English:

“Hello. My name is ___. I am from ___. This is my phone. This is my bag. I like tea. I need water. I go to work. I go home at night. Thank you.”

不要嫌简单。能连续稳定输出基础语言,就是重要能力。

Chinese translation: use it quickly, then leave it | 中文翻译:快速用,然后离开

When a word is new, Chinese can make meaning clear immediately. That is useful. But do not keep staring at the Chinese every time.

  1. English → try meaning.
  2. Check Chinese.
  3. Return to English.
  4. Say phrase.
  5. Use sentence.
  6. Later, hide Chinese.

最终目标是让 water 直接连接“水这个概念”,而不是每一次都必须先经过汉字“水”。

Do not use Chinese characters to fake English pronunciation | 不要用汉字长期标英语读音

Chinese characters can tempt you to force English sounds into Mandarin sound patterns. That can make listening and speaking harder later.

请用可靠词典音频,听真正的英语声音。需要时可以学基础 IPA,但零基础第一步不是背整套音标理论,而是先建立“看词—听音—模仿”的习惯。

What if the word is hard to remember? | 这个词老记不住怎么办?

Do not immediately write it 30 times. Diagnose first.

  • Is the meaning unclear?
  • Is the pronunciation unfamiliar?
  • Is the spelling confusing?
  • Does the word have no useful phrase?
  • Did you never retrieve it?
  • Did you wait too long before review?
  • Is the word simply low-value for you now?

不同原因需要不同修复。不是所有“忘词”都靠多抄几遍解决。

A beginner word should have a job | 每个基础词都要有工作

WordJob
whereAsk for place.
needExpress necessity.
pleaseMake a request more polite.
becauseGive a reason.
butShow contrast.
todayPlace an event in time.
myShow possession.
veryIncrease degree.

知道“这个词用来做什么”,往往比只知道中文译词更有帮助。

A seven-day Lesson 001 plan | 第001课七天训练

DayNew focusReturn task
110 people/social wordsSay 5 old phrases at night.
210 core verbsRecall Day 1 without list.
310 daily nounsMix Days 1–2.
410 adjectives/time wordsMake 10 short phrases.
5question wordsAsk 10 tiny questions.
6personal 20Use 10 in true sentences.
7no new wordsMixed retrieval + one-minute talk.

What success looks like | 怎样才算这课学会?

Do not ask only: “Did I finish the list?” Ask:

  • Can I recall 30–50 core words without looking?
  • Can I hear many of them?
  • Can I use at least 20 in phrases?
  • Can I make 15–20 small sentences?
  • Can I ask basic questions?
  • Can I reuse words from three days ago?

如果答案越来越多是“可以”,你的基础词汇系统正在形成。

For parents and teachers | 给家长和老师

Do not make “more words” the only target. A child or adult beginner may need fewer new words and more successful retrieval.

  • Keep the first word set small.
  • Choose high-use words.
  • Connect words to real objects and actions.
  • Model a phrase.
  • Ask the learner to respond.
  • Return after a delay.
  • Mix old and new.
  • Do not punish slow recall; use it as diagnostic information.

真正有价值的指标不是“老师今天讲了多少词”,而是“学习者过几天还能主动调用多少”。

Where to check useful beginner vocabulary | 去哪里检查基础词汇?

Connect to the wider eduKate vocabulary system | 连接更大的词汇系统

This lesson stays at the very simple entry level. Deeper mechanism pages remain deeper. 这一课只负责零基础入口,不重复更高级的词汇机制页面。

Final rule | 最后一条规则

Learn the word you are most likely to meet, need, combine and reuse.

先学你最可能遇到、最需要、最能组合、最能反复使用的词。

Then make it work in a phrase. Then make it work in a sentence. Then come back tomorrow.

先让它进入短语,再进入句子,然后明天再回来。
