Buangkok Bus Interchange is integrated with Buangkok MRT and Sengkang Grand Mall. It is a useful starting point for a bus journey, a rail transfer or a meal-and-errands visit in this part of Sengkang. Follow the signs for the interchange itself; a roadside bus stop and an interchange berth are different boarding points.
The interchange opened on 1 December 2024 and is operated by SBS Transit. LTA’s opening announcement records an initial set of Services 110, 114 and 156. That is opening-day information rather than a guaranteed current service list, so check the operator’s live route information before choosing your bus.
Did you know that the hub was designed with facilities for several kinds of travel needs? LTA described barrier-free entrances, seated priority queue areas, a baby care room, an accessible toilet and a commuter care room. The following guide explains how to prepare for a comfortable visit and find the help you need.

Find the interchange through the integrated hub
Use ‘Buangkok Bus Interchange’ as your destination when planning. The hub connects with Buangkok MRT and Sengkang Grand Mall, but the exact walking route depends on your starting point.
If arriving by MRT, follow the bus-interchange signs after leaving the train. If arriving from the street or mall, look for the public interchange entrance and then the service boards. Ask staff if the connection is unclear.
For a meeting, choose a specific public landmark away from the boarding queue. People arriving by bus and rail may approach from different directions even when they have named the same hub.
Check the current route before queuing
The opening announcement is useful for understanding how the hub began. For an actual trip, open the operator’s service information and confirm today’s route, direction and stopping list.
Routes can be extended or amended after a new interchange opens. Do not rely on an old article to decide that a particular bus still goes to the same terminal or uses the same roads.
Read the destination display and berth board together. If there is a discrepancy between your saved notes and current signs, ask the transport staff before boarding.
Use facilities according to your needs
LTA’s facility description includes seated priority queue zones, a wheelchair-accessible toilet, a baby care room and a quieter commuter care room. Ask staff about access and the location of any facility you need.
For a family with a pram, leave room to manoeuvre and follow the queue arrangement. For a person who needs a calmer space, seeking assistance early can make the visit easier than waiting until the journey feels overwhelming.
An accessible entrance does not tell you everything about an onward trip. Consider the bus, alighting stop and final walking route as well. If someone has specific mobility needs, check each part before departure.
Make the most of a local stop
Our Sengkang Grand Mall guide can help you organise a separate food or shopping visit. A simple plan is often enough: one meal, one errand and a clear route home.
With children, confirm the journey first and give the optional stop a flexible finish time. The hub makes it possible to combine activities, but there is no need to fill every minute.
For the rail side of your journey, read our Buangkok MRT history guide. For current departures, use the operator’s live tools and station notices.
